The K2 stud mount bracket is installed during new construction and serves as a guide for the drywall installer when cutting openings. The bracket is screwed to the stud when the desired location for the K2 keypad is directly adjacent to the stud. Once drywall is installed and cut, the K2 attaches to the bracket using 2" drywall screws.
