Description
The Universal Bracket is designed to allow Sonance Architectural Series® speakers to be installed in a wide range of structures (framing and finish thickness). It consists of a Universal Bracket body and a pair of adjustable Stud-Mount Rails (both available separately). The Universal Bracket is adjustable before and after installation: A lateral adjustment allows exact positioning of the Universal Bracket in the stud/joist bay.
After the Universal Bracket has been mounted and secured, its height can then be adjusted to bring the mud dam proud of the mounting surface, so the top of the mud dam will be flush (the same level) with the final finish. This allows the Architectural Series finish component (grille) to be installed flush with anything from a thin skim coat of plaster to a typical thick Venetian plaster system. Once the mud dam height has been set, locking tabs secure it at the proper height. The system also allows for a small angular rotation so that after mounting, square and rectangular Universal Bracket models can be squared with other components and fixtures on the walls and ceilings.
